TMC USA/Kingdom magazine awarded for raising more than $500,000 for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children

Orlando, FL - Following a gala dinner at Bay Hill Club & Lodge, publishers TMC USA were honored with an award for raising more than $500,000 for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando. The award was presented at the firm’s annual "Kingdom Cup" golf tournament, an invitation-only event hosted at Bay Hill Club & Lodge by Mr. Palmer and by TMC USA’s Kingdom magazine, America’s leading luxury golf publication.

I have been around the game of golf since I first hit a ball when I was 3 years old. That was 80 years ago. I still have interests in golf course design, course ownership and so on, but I haven’t really played competitive golf for quite some time. So as 2012 comes to an end, I’m seeing the game as you do: as a casual player, as a fan and as a businessman. And I like what I see.

KAMUELA, Hawaii -- Any idea that Hapuna Golf Course is just the other venue at Mauna Kea resort on the Big Island is quickly dismissed once you start playing it.

It may not be as hard as its big-brother course -- Mauna Kea Golf Course, which is on the other side of the Queen Kaahumanu Highway -- but it's almost as pretty. And it's probably more fun, too, because it's not as difficult.

His accomplishments inside and outside the game have earned him countless honors, and on Sept. 12 in Washington, D.C., he became just the sixth sportsman to be awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.

OKATIE, S.C. -- Welcome to spaghetti junction. No, it’s not the freeway bypass around Atlanta. Instead, it’s the guts of a rewired golf course here at Spring Island, on the Intracoastal Waterway midway between Hilton Head Island and Beaufort.

Old Tabby Links, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay and opened to rave reviews in 1994, is closed for the summer for a head-to-toe makeover that includes new greens, bunkers and tees, as well as a new irrigation system.
