DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. (KTIV) – Dakota Dunes Country Club, an Arnold Palmer Design Company course, has been named to Golfweek’s prominent list of “Best Residential Courses” for 2014. America’s Best Golf Courses are rated based on several factors including: ease and intimacy of routing, variety and memorability of each hole, overall landscaping and the basic quality and condition of the course.

The Palmer designed 7,165 yard course plays to a par-72 and is suitable for golfers of all levels. The creative design is nestled among the wooded dunes and along the Missouri River and includes strategically placed bunkers, pristine greens and forward tee positions that create an experience both challenging and enjoyable. Recent construction and upgrades have been made to the course including reseeding the tees, fairways and bunkers with T1 Alpha bentgrass, reconstruction of ponds on three holes and the redesign of holes 17 and 18.
Dakota Dunes Country Club was recently ranked #2 in Golf Digest’s Best In State for 2013-2014. Dakota Dunes has been ranked either #1 or #2 in the State since its opening in 1991. Additionally, Head Golf Professional Justin Arlt was recently listed in Golf Digest’s “Best Teachers in State” for 2013-2014.
