Course Spotlights

Bog, The

In mid-1990, THE BOG's Founder, Terry Wakefield, began a search for suitable sites for a high quality golf facility. His search was motivated by a belief that excess demand existed to support a new, upscale golf course in the Milwaukee metropolitan market. Mr. Wakefield's initial parameters for a golf course site included a minimum of 200 contiguous acres, rolling topography, abundant and diverse natural features, and a location within 30 minutes of downtown Milwaukee near the I-43 corridor. After nearly two years of site exploration, Mr. Wakefield selected a 272-acre parcel in the Town of Saukville. In early 1992, options were signed with three different individuals whose families had owned the site for decades. In mid-1992, Mr. Wakefield commissioned a market study for development of a golf course on the property. This study supported his perception and concluded that there was a strong demand for a new, high-quality, daily-fee golf facility in the Milwaukee area. The Bog evolved just 3 years after and became one of the Milwaukee area's premier golf courses.

Superb as the golf at THE BOG may be, the amenities that you and your clients will enjoy are on par with any you could ask for. The business side of your day can start and end in our spacious, well-appointed 10,500 square foot clubhouse. This impressive facility features a beautiful full service dining room and bar that seats up to 160 people. The dining room opens onto a covered patio that can accommodate up to 80 people. If you wish, you may also conduct more structured business presentations in our conference room where food and beverage service is also available. Both the dining room and conference room are fully equipped for audio/visual presentations.
